during my adolescence, i had a habit of writing poems.... it was an effective way of expressing the changes and the novelties of growing up. that was also the time when this passion for writing seeped through me and grew firm roots. by the way, its not that these poems that i used to write are excellent, but i like to keep them close to me because they work as an eye hole into my mind that used to be....
(here are some..others will be posted gradually)
MY BEING
the colour of faith
in a ray of light
shows an abstract truth
which has a noun for love
with the deepest core;
i have it in my heart
as a strength for soul.
the touch of rain
held in arms out stretched,
reflects naive sensibilities...
and a divine thought,
gives life to breath
and eternity to faith.

ONE SOUL
in the peace of a night,
only one soul sings
only one soul breathes
from the whispers of the wind.
only one soul hears
the beating of a heart,
though far away they are,
yet not a speck apart
one soul dances in the memory of a touch
of a hand so strong;
not a second like such
and one soul knows how one soul loves.

ANGER
i want thorns in
my flesh
and a dagger through
my heart
i want to start where
i end
and end where
i start
i want to crucify
my soul
and wash my blood
with rain
i have reasons why i never
want to
ever smile again.

ADOLESCENCE
fluttering girl
in her summer dreams
such precise finds
in poetry lines
pretty hope
but little scope
yet-
she sings along
her heart song
somtimes giggles
she sometime sighs
as varying moments are
like colorful butterflies
in scarlet autumn
she befriends the trees
and when the moon shines
she fills her diary with
red valentines
azure scent
in a windy hush
with a secret fear
comes a lovely crush
now strung guitars
boots and ball
its an opaque world
where she rises to fall
deeper into that boyish charm
dreaming that the
sky is velvet
and feeling that
love is warm
love is warm...
MESSAGES
the moon marched with me
enriching the night
as i hiked through
the askew way
it was brought to me
by the winds
that love awaited bt the hawthron bay.
so put aside ur days desire
and take a stroll down a mile
i'll be waiting for you there
where the green leaves smile.

LARGER LOVE
dont ask me to lay my head
on your shoulder
for your shoulder is so meak.
dont try to take my heart away
with your hands so very weak
my heart is built of twigs and stones
and of silvery crystal bones
so the love for wich it can be sold
is larger than you could hold.

AFTER I DIE
when i die, pull my lashes
to weave the dove a nest...
i'll cry less when the bird'll warm
infants near her breast.
when i die, cut my hair
and sew a curtain of my locks.
i will dance in the wind carrying words
from a mother-and-child talk.
but after i die, dont keep my heart
for it'll hardly play a role.
only let mere peasants scrap a hole
to bury my imperil soul.

ReplyDeleteClock ticks by,
endless chores ahead,
burdened with worries of life,
a Working Doll carries on another day,
weeping in silence
hoping for a better day
praying for a better way
knowing, believing,
this all, as a test, that
she must pass,
and she does, in good time,
in right time,
as does all things in nature.

Never giving up,
taking head on, all that life can throw,
daring, driving aggressively,
forcefully, ahead,
to stand tall, conquering
the great peaks of earth,
in her own ways.

And when that day comes,
when that long wait ends,
when the streets show respect
and all bow in silence
and wish her godspeed,
and trust me, that day does come,
she smiles
welcoming the new day,
showing all, a new way,
unseen, unheard of,
the way of the Rabeanean Gabeen.
:)
Godspeed indeed!
